Sal is originally from the rust belt of Cleveland, Ohio, he hit the road and began doing stand up in San Francisco. He has crawled through the ranks and has appeared at clubs all over the country.
He was featured on NBC’s “Trauma”, has starred in, co-wrote, and co-produced the film, “Lucifer’s Crewcut” starring Maria Bamford, Arj Barker, Jello Biafra, and GWAR. He recently filmed a part for an upcoming Spike Lee film.
He was a finalist in the International San Francisco Comedy Competition and his debut comedy album, “Real Job, Real Paycheck” is featured on Sirius-XM radio and Pandora. He also has a popular weekly podcast available free on iTunes named WhotheEFF is Sal Calanni.
